Novo Solar Systems is excited to be a Contributing Sponsor in the upcoming “Great Climate Race” in Vancouver happening Sunday, November 8th, 2015.

With a 2k or 10k walk or run along the Stanley Park Seawall, this new running/walking event series is designed to crowdfund for renewable energy projects.  It’s like Kickstarter meets The Sun Run with a dash of Cirque du Soleil.  Costumes, performers, art displays and surprises!

Climate change affects all of us and we all have to do something about it. That can be a daunting task and it’s hard to know where to start. That’s why we organized the Great Climate Race, a running event series that enables participants to crowdfund for local renewable energy projects.

A portion of the entry fee for every participant plus all the money crowdfunded by participants from their supporters will go to our non-profit The Great Climate Race Renewable Energy Fund.

These family-friendly running events are for people of all ages and athletic abilities and from every walk of life. Look forward to a unique experience filled with costumes, theatrics, art, technology displays, fun and surprises!

If you are considering registering here is one last incentive. You can use the promo code LastWeek for 30% anytime between now and race day. We are trying to get over 1000 participants on race day. Currently (as of Monday morning) we have about 800 people registered overall between the 10k and the 2k in Vancouver and over 100 participants registered for the virtual race in various cities around the world.

If you are pretty sure a 10k run/walk is not for you or you aren’t going to be in Vancouver on Sunday November 8th then maybe you could walk in the virual 2k event. We are hoping lots of people will join the race in taking a little 2k walks this week as part of the virtual race.

Novo Solar is also offering, as part of the “Virtual Grab Bag” an exclusive offer to race participants. Sign up to find out what that offer is!

Hope to see you there this Sunday, November 8, 2015.
